Shipping We do everything possible to ensure your order arrives in excellent condition. We ship our orders either Overnight or Second Day Delivery (you decide!!) via Fed Ex in specially designed, refrigerated containers made specifically for the seafood industry. These containers keep your seafood cold, delicious and at the peak of freshness. We've tested and retested to calculate the right amount of refrigerant needed for every Cape Cod Stuffed Quahog gourmet product to arrive on your doorstep fresh and in excellent condition. Then to ensure a completely safe delivery, we pack the refrigerated containers in a corrugated box for extra protection. All orders are shipped "signature release" allowing the package to be left without receiving the recipient's signature. If you are unsure of your recipient's plans, we recommend sending a gift certificate.
Shipping Costs You decide how to ship your order. On the Shopping Cart page you calculate the shipping rate for your order by entering the State and Zip Code of your shipment. After the rates are calculated, you select a shipping option for your package from the drop down menu .
When you determine your FedEx shipping requirement in the site's shopping cart section, we include all "handling" charges in the shipping cost that are necessary to ensure your package arrives in excellent condition, including your required shipping option (either FedEX Overnight or FedEx Second Day shipping charges), insulated packaging containers and gel packs and/or dry ice (depending on what is shipped).
Shipping Information
Packages are normally shipped within 24-48 hours after receipt of orders and payment approval. To ensure freshness, we do not ship on Friday or over weekends, therefore Sunday and Monday deliveries are not available. As a rule of thumb, orders received Monday through Wednesday will normally ship the same week. Orders received on Thursday or Friday will ship the following week. We can ship on Thursday for FedEx Overnight deliveries. For an additional fee, Saturday delivery is available on all orders except those placed on Friday. All orders are shipped either FedEx Overnight or FedEx Second Day delivery (you decide!!!) to ensure maximum freshness. We can only ship in the 48 contiguous states as timely deliveries are not available to Hawaii and Alaska. We can not ship on holidays and we can not ship to P.O. Boxes. Your order will be confirmed by email upon receipt. You will also receive confirmation when your order has shipped, including order tracking information. Packaging All orders are sent in specially constructed shipping containers with gel packs and/or dry ice to keep your seafood cold. Partially thawed products are in good condition as all of our products are pre-cooked.
Availability We live and work on Cape Cod. During wintertime it is amazingly beautiful here. However we occasionaly experience a "wicked Nor'Easter" that dumps lots of snow and disrupts delivery schedules. Due to ever changing weather and supply conditions out of our control, occasionally some items may become unavailable after an order is placed. Should this happen, we will contact you as quickly as possible to discuss substituting another item of equal value, or changing the delivery date.
Delivery Terms Seafood products are very perishable. All our shipments are packed with ample refrigeration to maintain the product during the shipping period. We recommend that someone be available to receive shipments upon delivery. If you are sending a gift, please notify recipient when to expect delivery. If no one is available to accept delivery, and the package is left unattended for an extended period, we can not guarantee that the seafood will remain in good condition. Upon receipt we recommend that you unpack the shipper contents as soon as possible and place the seafood in the refrigerator or freezer, as appropriate, to maintain optimum condition. The shipping containers are not suitable for storing your product after receipt. Please check the shipping address carefully for errors. We can not guarantee shipment if the carrier is unable to deliver.
Our Guarantee If you experience a problem with any product, shipping or service, please let us know within 24 hours of delivery. We will be happy to assist you with a replacement or refund in the event of damage during shipping or error on our part. However, we regret that we are unable to make refunds in an event that an item is not to your liking. We encourage you to ask questions about our products prior to purchase. Our customer service team will make every effort to help you purchase a product you will thoroughly enjoy!
